A new Truth & Dare tour has been announced for this year’s Ghost Fest at Oxford Castle Unlocked, with group discounts available.

The annual festival, which takes place between 1st October and 6th November, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and will feature the brand new Truth & Dare tour.

The tour will allow guests to explore the buildings of Oxford Castle led by one of the castle’s characters, who will teach guests about past betrayals and executions, and the rumoured spirits who are said to haunt the historic buildings.

This will be followed by a Gauntlet of Terror experience, which is a spooky visit to the prison-wing after lights out and the underground crypt, with live actors and interactive props on hand to create jumps and scares.

Discounted tickets are available for groups of 15 or more wishing to book this particular tour.

About Ghost Fest 2016

Ghost Fest 2016 is an annual event that gives visitors the chance to explore the 1,000-year-old castle prison buildings after dark to discover a darker side of the castle and its past.

There will also be overnight Ghost Hunt opportunities running throughout October.

Alternatively, Friday and Saturday evenings can be spent exploring Oxford overall on Bill Spectre’s Ghost Trail, which is a 90 minute walking tour of the city.

For groups

Groups can book an Afternoon Spooks itinerary, which features a tour of the castle with cream tea, combined with Bill Spectre’s Ghost Trail. This is available from £18 per person.

There are plenty of benefits available for groups visiting Oxford Castle Unlocked, including free familiarisation visits, free admission for group organisers and coach drivers and catering options.

Joint tickets are also available with other city attractions, such as Salters Steamers, Thames Cruises, City Sightseeing bus tours or walking tours.
