Marvel Super Heroes area

Madame Tussauds Blackpool has announced the upcoming launch of its new Marvel Super Heroes area which will feature four superhero-themed zones.

The previously undeveloped space will add 5501-square feet to the existing public footprint within the attraction. The new area has been designed to make visitors feel like they are ‘stepping into a classic Marvel comic strip,’ putting them ‘face-to-face with their favourite comic book and film heroes’.

Incorporating four zones, the new area will include a number of new figures as well as interactive experiences to immerse visitors of any age. Many of the interactive elements will be bespoke to Madame Tussauds Blackpool, and take inspiration from the original comics as well as the blockbuster films.

At this time, the following characters and areas have been confirmed, with further figures currently under consideration and development:

Zone 1, The Comic Store: A vintage comic book store filled with Marvel classics and miniature action figures, the store is designed to look like a portal that will lead visitors into the real world of Marvel Super Heroes.

Zone 2, Thor: Guest will enter a Jotunheim ice cave and come face-to-face with the Asgardian god of thunder himself, before attempting to lift Thor’s legendary hammer, Mjolnir.

Zone 3, Hulk: Surrounded by debris and destruction, visitors will encounter the Hulk in a New York street. Guest can then put their strength to the test as they attempt to lift a yellow taxi that has crashed and is covered in debris.

Zone 4, Spider-Man: Underneath overhead railway arches guests will see a series of skyscrapers, where the Daily Bugle has arrived to take a photograph of Spider-Man who is suspended high above the city streets.

“The new area will be a must-visit destination for all Marvel fans, offering the chance to get up close and personal to their favourite characters from the big screen.”

Groups of ten or more will receive discounted rates and one free place for the group leader.
