The British Motor Museum, in Warwickshire, has announced a schedule of more than 16 motoring shows for 2019, as well as a new exhibition.

The British Motor Museum, in Warwickshire, has announced a schedule of more than 16 motoring shows for 2019, as well as a new exhibition. 

Next year’s programme of events includes a new exhibition, opening on 13th July. The Car. The Future. Me, will explore futuristic car designs and challenge the idea of how we will interact with the cars of the future.  

More 2019 events

Highlights of the 2019 season include the 60th Anniversary of the Mini which the museum will be celebrating in several ways, starting with three weeks of themed activities over Easter holidays. 

These activities will be followed by two events, starting with a Classic Mini Mosaic World Record Attempt with over 600 classic Mini’s (cars produced between 1959 - 2000) spelling out ‘Mini 60’ on 3rd August. This will be followed on 4th August by a special one-day National Metro & Mini Show. 

The Gaydon Land Rover Show will return on 11th and 12th May bringing the finest vehicles, owners and historians together for a weekend dedicated to this iconic marque. 

The National BMW Festival will return on 11th August and is Europe’s largest gathering of BMW’s. 

Other shows on throughout the year include the Historic Car Register Open Day on 12th January, the UK Slot Car Festival on 18th and 19th May and the Vintage Motor Cycle Club Banbury Run on 16th June. 

The BMC & Leyland show will return on 7th July, followed by the Old Ford Rally on 21st July. The Buses Festival is back on 18th August, Retro Truck Show on the 7th and 8th September and the Large Model Aircraft show on 27th October.
