Eat Work Sleep Retreat venue

Retreat company Eat Sleep Work Retreat is set to launch two Lake District properties on the 12th May that will be available throughout the year for exclusive use.

Both properties are situated in the heart of the Lake District and are situated close by to many of the region’s major attractions.

About the venues

The Crosthwaite Mill in the Lythe Valley and the Fallbarrow Hall on the edge of Windermere Lake will both be able to accommodate up to 46 people.

Crosthwaite Mill is a preserved 18th century corn mill, located in the secluded Lythe Valley countryside, with an array of exposed original features, including a waterwheel and grindstones.

In addition, the equally spacious Fallarrow Hall, next to Windermere Lake, provides views across the water of the famous Lake District attraction.

Visitors to the venues can use them for “everything from sophisticated house parties and memorable family get-togethers, to friends’ reunions and outdoor activity weekends”.

Each venue comes with a personal chef on a minimum bed and breakfast basis, and both retreats are available on an exclusive-use basis for a minimum two-night stay.

Things to do in the local area

Guests can arrange various activities for their visit, including private lake cruises, fell walks, windsurfing, body boarding, yoga and meditation.

Each stay can be tailored to the group’s specifications and is entirely bespoke.

There is plenty for groups to enjoy in the Lake District, from heritage buildings like poet William Wordsworth’s former home and Blackwell, the Arts and Crafts House.

There are also cruises available with Windermere Lake Cruises, animal attractions like Coast Aquarium and the Lakeland Bird of Prey Centre, and a multitude of waterside, forest and hilltop walks.
