MSC Seaview, one of MSC Cruises’ Seaside generation smart ships, is set to commence its maiden voyage from Genoa in Italy on 10th June 2018.

The ship will home-port at Genoa, Marseille and Barcelona and will also call at Naples, Messina in Sicily and Malta, where a range of activities have been designed to help groups discover each destination and its culture.

Technology

MSC Seaview is described as a next-generation smart ship, as it employs technology to enable guests to customise their on board and onshore experience.

Near Field Communication (NFC) allows guests to use a cruise card, bracelet or smartphone for a range of different options, including geo-location of children, cabin access and on board payment.

There will also be interactive screens on the ship, which are designed to make it simple to select excursions, and book shows and restaurants.

Design features

MSC Seaview will be suited to groups who love the outdoors as it is said to be set to feature the highest ratio of outdoor space per guest at sea.

The ship has been designed to allow groups to make the most of the sea and sunshine, with an increased number of balcony cabins and public areas available.

It will also feature a 360 degree promenade with glass balustrades that run around the entire ship. The public space will act as a recreation area where guests can stroll in the open air, eat and drink from a variety of bars and restaurants, or shop in the ship’s boutiques.

MSC Voyagers Club members can already book onto the cruise as part of its member benefits.
