The UK and Europe’s first ever in-person Minecraft-themed immersive experience has opened its doors in Canada Water, London where it is running until 28th September.
Located at Corner Corner, just ten minutes from central London, players of all ages can step into the world of Minecraft to mine, craft and fight at Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue.
Based on the best-selling video game of all time (with over 300 million copies sold worldwide), the experience invites visitor to enter multiple themed rooms and help rescue a village under siege from a zombie attack. They must work to rescue the villagers and gather the essential ingredients to cure them before time runs out.
Visitors begin their 45-minute journey by entering the forest before moving into the village, they will receive their quest and embark on a rescue mission with a team.
On the interactive scavenger hunt, participants will journey through multiple Minecraft-themed areas while collecting resources and interacting with iconic mobs from the game, including friendly pandas and dolphins, as well as facing skeletons, spiders and creepers.
The experience includes challenges which requires physical exersion, including throwing, jumping and reaching.
Each player will be armed with a glowing handheld orb, which they will use to interact with the immersive world by breaking blocks, damaging hostile mobs, collecting resources and more. The orb vibrates, lights up and changes colour depending on the action and context to help guide players through the experience.
After completing the experience, every visitor will receive a commemorative item which can be downloaded in-game. A gift shop is located at the experience and Corner Corner also has a selection of food and drink available at a street food hall and a cafe.
Groups of ten or more can take advantage of discounted group rates from Monday to Friday during term time.
