London Wine Week To Return To The Capital In May %7C Group Travel News

London Wine Week is to return for its third year, taking place across more than 125 venues between 23rd and 29th May.

The event was originally created in 2013 to give the opportunity to some of London’s top wine bars to showcase their sommeliers and wine offerings to consumers.

The festival will be held at Devonshire Square for the second year running and will feature wine flights, paired menus, special deals on corkage and a variety of other events.

One highlight from the week will be the self-guided wine tasting tours, which will help groups to discover new grapes, varieties and vintages from London’s bars and restaurants.

There will also be masterclasses, supper clubs, pop-ups, parties, tastings and winemaker dinners.

Loire Valley Wines will be hosting a series of events, and there will also be a sparkling wine event with the Three Wine Men – a trio of entertainers made up of a wine expert, a wine writer and wine journalist.

The event – Let’s Get Fizzical – will be one of the headline wine tasting events where the trio will introduce their favourite sparkling wines from Champagne houses, Processco and English wine among others.

Groups attending London Wine Week will learn the answers to questions such as how wine is made, how to taste wine like a pro, how to pair wine with food and which wines are best to drink at particular times of the year.

London Beer Week has just celebrated its second year.

Both events were created by DrinkUp.London, which is also the team behind London Cocktail Week, which is now in its seventh year.
