A new production of Legally Blonde The Musical will tour the UK and Ireland in 2026, opening at Leicester’s Curve Theatre in February.
Based on the novel Legally Blonde by Amanda Browning and the 2001 film of the same name, the multi-award winning Legally Blonde The Musical will be directed by Nikolai Foster (Kinky Boots, The Wizard of Oz, A Chorus Line).
Opening at Leicester’s Curve Theatre on 7th February 2026, the production features a book by Heather Hach and original music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin.
The feel-good rom-com, based on the award-winning film starring Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Coolidge, follows Elle Woods on her transformation from ‘It Girl’ fashionista to legal ace at Harvard Law School, all in the name of love. Elle must prove she is more than blonde ambition, swap the changing rooms for the courtroom and learn that ‘being true to yourself never goes out of style.’
Legally Blonde The Musical will tour until 7th January 2027, visiting venues including Sheffield’s Lyceum Theatre, The Alexandra Birmingham, Bristol Hippodrom, Aylesbury Waterside Theatre and closing at Brighton Theatre Royal.

We have assembled a ‘mad props’ creative team and together we are looking forward to creating a fresh, fun and sunny SoCal production of this great musical.

Legally Blonde the Musical has previously had successful stints in the West End, Broadway and in Australia, along with two previous UK tours. The musical last ran in the UK at Regents Park Open Air Theatre from 13th May 2022 until 2nd July 2022.
