Samlesbury Roadshow

Samlesbury Hall in Lancashire was the venue for the recent Group Travel Forum North event, where 40 attractions came together to promote their group travel offerings.

It was arranged by Hampshire based UK travel trade specialist Steve Reed Tourism Ltd in conjunction with the Last Drop Village Hotel of Bolton; the Holiday Inn Express Burnley; Kittywake Cruises of Wigan; and Ena Mill Retail of Atherton in Greater Manchester.

The Forum, which took place on 18th September, brought coach and tour operators and group travel organisers together with the 40 exhibitors from the travel trade, including hotels, attractions and destinations.

The event was an opportunity for group travel organisers to meet these representatives face to face and arrange tours, holidays, breaks and excursions, all under one roof.

Steve Reed, managing director of Steve Reed Tourism Ltd, commented: “The Group Travel Forum North was ideal for helping to boost group bookings. The event gave the sellers of group products the ideal chance to meet with real and active group buyers from all over the UK in the historic setting of wonderful Samlesbury Hall.

Group travel organiser John Flynn of Role On Travel also had praise for the event. He said: “A huge thank you for all your hard work putting together the Group Travel Forum-North at Samlesbury Hall. It was a fabulous day with the added bonus of a wonderful witch.

“We made some connections that were tailor made for our group, especially Evans Hotel, Llandudno, Warner Hotels Bodelwyddan, Browsholme Hall, Leighton Hall and definitely Ena Mill.”
