Pop stars Kym Marsh and Faye Tozer will take to the stage as Cruella de Vil in the new musical adaptation of 101 Dalmatians.

Kym Marsh will take to the stage as the infamous Cruella De Vil, alongside Faye Tozer.

The pair will share the role, with Kym Marsh taking on the part for the majority of the run, and Tozer playing the part in Norwich, Canterbury, Leicester and Wolverhampton. 

Opening at the New Wimbledon Theatre on 22nd June, the tour stretches the length and breadth of the UK, running until 5th January 2025. Full touring venues and dates can be found here.

Kym Marsh said: “I’m over the moon to be joining the cast of 101 Dalmatians playing the iconic Cruella De Vil, has there ever been a more fabulous baddie?

“Obviously she’s a million miles away from me in real life - and my dogs are very glad about that - but being able to bring to life my take on this renowned character is a real treat.”

Faye Tozer said: “I’m going into my wicked era with this dream role - it really doesn’t get much better than Cruella de Vil! When they offered me the part, I just jumped at the chance.

“I love that it’s something people probably don’t expect me to do and can’t wait to create my own version of her for this incredible new musical.”

Faye Tozer is best-known for being in Steps the band.

The new musical by Douglas Hodge (music and lyrics) and Johnny McKnight (book), is said to involves spectacular puppetry, show-stopping choreography and hilarious songs.

Actor, presenter and singer Kym Marsh arrived on British TV screens back in 2000 appearing on the hit reality TV show Popstars, and winning a place in the subsequent band Hear’say. She’s also well-known for joining the cast of ITV’s Coronation Street in the role of Michelle Connor from 2006 until 2020. 

In 2022, Kym returned to tread the boards in the role of bunny boiler Alex Forest in Fatal Attraction. Last year she joined the cast of Take That musical Greatest Days.

Faye Tozer is probably best-known for BRIT Award winning pop band Steps who had number one hits with Tragedy and Stomp and have sold over 25 million records worldwide.

Faye is no stranger to theatre and stage with musical theatre credits  including the new production of 42nd Street (UK tour) Singin’ in The Rain (Sadler’s Wells, Toronto and UK Tour) and Everybody’s Talking About Jamie (Apollo Theatre), to name a few. 

Marsh added: “Douglas and Johnny have written this brilliant new musical filled with songs I’m already finding myself humming under my breath. The 101 Dalmatians story spans generations and I’m sure young and old alike will absolutely love this production.”
