Synopsis

Kinky Boots follows the story of Charlie Price, played by David Hunter, who is struggling to live up to his father’s expectations in continuing the family business in their shoe factory, Price & Son.

However, help arrives in the form of Lola, played by Matt Henry, a drag performer in need of some new stilettos. Charlie returns to his factory to solve the problem and start creating shoes for his new niche market, saving the business.

The show, described as a celebration of friendship and following your dreams, takes viewers from a gentlemen’s shoe factory in Northampton to the glamorous catwalks of Milan.

The musical features lyrics and music by pop icon Cyndi Lauper, and is inspired by true events.
