More people are planning to visit the 2018 GLT Show, according to event organisers, with pre-registration up compared to the last two years.

Britain’s biggest for group travel and coach tourism takes place on Thursday 11th October in Hall 19 at the NEC, Birmingham.

GLT Show Organiser, Emma Cash said: “Visitor registration is up compared to the same time last year and the previous year which is very encouraging.  We’re looking forward to a fantastic day, one that promises to be a successful experience for our visitors and exhibitors.”

Free-to-attend Seminar Theatre

The three celebrity guests speaking at this year’s GLT Show have revealed the titles of their talks which are free to attend for all visitors.

They are:

11.15am, Travels of a Lifetime: TV personality and ‘culture vulture’ Gyles Brandreth:

The writer, actor and prolific broadcaster, known for programmes ranging from the BBC’s The One Show and QI to Have I Got News for You has said he’s looking forward to sharing his travel experiences with GTOs at the show.

12.30pm, Travel Talk: Britain’s No.1 travel expert Simon Calder:

Returning to the show by popular demand, Simon will again offer visitors valuable advice and travel expertise during another topical talk and presentation. In his session last year, Calder imparted his knowledge and advice on the Package Travel Directive, a subject he has written about for Group Leisure & Travel magazine

2.15pm, Britain’s Best Gardens: Gardener and TV presenter, Carol Klein:

Carol will be sharing her passion for gardens and gardening with visitors, with the intention of inspiring group travel organisers to take their members to brilliant gardens up and down the country. She’s perhaps best known for presenting Gardeners’ World, which she first appeared on in 1998 and is still a high profile regular.

A wide-range of exhibitors, inspiring group trips and holidays

From tour and coach operators to destinations, attractions and accommodation providers, in the UK and overseas, there are many first-time exhibitors this year, joining the usual favourites.

Some of the recent names to confirm they will be exhibiting at the GLT Show include the British Guild of Tourist Guides, Bellarome, Mersey Travel, Newby Hall and The Ticket Factory.

A full exhibitor listing can be found at the dedicated show website, www.grouptravelshow.com, which is updated regularly and covers a wealth of specialist exhibitors dedicated to helping GTOs with travel plans and ideas.
