Isle of Skye

HF Holidays will celebrate Scotland’s Year of History, Heritage & Archaeology with a number of new breaks that take in battle fields, islands and lochs.

A historic railway tour through the highlands, an island-hopping break and a week exploring the Great Glen Way are some of the new group-friendly holidays available.

Highland Railway Tour

A seven-night journey into the Highlands includes riding some of Scotland’s historic railways, including the Strathspey Railway from Aviemore to Broomhill. The West Highland Railway, which offers picturesque mountain views, and the steam-hauled Jacobite service to Mallaig are both included, too.

This holiday departs on 23rd September, is full board, and includes accommodation in HF Holidays’ country house, Alltshellach, located on the shores of Loch Leven.

Harris & Lewis

Discover white beaches, clear waters and remote wild rugged mountains on a holiday that hops between the islands of Harris and Lewis. Highlights include the Callanish Stones, the cliffs of the Butt of Lewis, and the restored blackhouse village at Na Gearrannan.

This break departs on 31st July, lasts a week, and boasts accommodation in the Doune Braes and Harris Hotels.

Great Glen Way

Groups can also opt for a seven-night holiday that follows the fault-line that makes up the Caledonian Canal, which leads from Scotland’s western shores at Fort William past Neptune’s Staircase, all the way to the eastern city of Inverness.

This holiday, departing 10th June, includes hiking along the banks of Loch Ness and accommodation in HF Holidays’ country house, the former bishop’s house, Alltshellach.
