HF Holidays has announced details for a new group touring holiday in Africa due to launch in 2017 called Discover Namibia.
The 16-day trip is described as having a good balance of walking, sightseeing and game drives and is suitable for all with a reasonable level of fitness.
The maximum number of people that can go on a Discover Namibia holiday is 14, and 2017 departure dates have been confirmed as 26th April, 13th September and 11th October.
The price will include 14 nights’ en-suite accommodation, full-board dining, and flights with British Airways from Heathrow to Windhoek via Johannesburg.
Groups can expect a full programme of outdoor activities led by a specialist local leader and local guides. In addition, all national park entry fees, transport and tips are included.
The itinerary
The Discover Namibia programme starts in Windhoek, with a night at the Safari Court Hotel (four star), and a guide city tour.
The tour then heads to the Namib Desert, said to be one of the world’s oldest. The party will stay at the Namib Desert Lodge, and enjoy a sundown safari experience with views of native animals and the desert sunset.
The group will also spend a night at the Dune Star Camp, which is made up of wooden cabins situated high on petrified sand dunes with views of the desert.
The itinerary also includes a visit to Sossusvlei, an area within the Namib Naukluft Park, as well as a night dune walk where the party can look for scorpions and other nocturnal creatures.
There will also be time spent at Walvis Bay with a morning cruise in search of marine mammals.
Further highlight stops on the trip will include the Erongo Mountains, the Boulder Forest, Etemba wilderness camp, and Damara Living Museum.
