Oscar-winning Ghost the Musical will tour the UK
Ghost the Musical will make a return to the stage this summer, embarking on a UK tour for the first time since 2019.
The Association of Group Travel Organisers (AGTO) has revealed who the guest speakers will be at the Silver Anniversary Showcase Weekend this year.
AGTO has announced that Pete Waters, executive director for Visit East Anglia, and Jason Triandafyllou, a partner at the creative agency Designate, will attend the event as the key guest speakers.
The Silver Anniversary Showcase Weekend will take place at Dunston Hall Hotel, Norwich, from 28th to 30th October.
Pete Waters
Pete Waters (pictured) has been on the board of Visit East Anglia as executive director since April 2014 and combines the role with being the brand manager at Visit Norfolk.
His presentation at the Showcase will highlight the huge range of locations in the region that are ideal for group visits.
Jason Triandafyllou
Jason Triandafyllou’s session at the Showcase will be themed around how group organisers can effectively market their trips to attract participants.
He has been a partner at Brighton-based marketing agency Designate since 2006. The company has a track record in the tourism sector and carried out the rebranding work for AGTO earlier this year.
About the Showcase
The Silver Anniversary Showcase Weekend brings together group travel organisers and associate members from all over the UK to participate in a programme of business and social sessions.
This year’s highlights are set to include a choice of specially tailored familiarisation trips to attractions including Norwich UNESCO City of Literature, Sandringham and Great Yarmouth.
Other elements of the weekend programme will include networking sessions and an anniversary dinner with entertainment arranged by headline sponsor, ‘made’ tourism marketing.
AGTO chief executive, Mike Bugsgang, said: “We are delighted that Pete and Jason have agreed to speak at the Showcase as both their presentations will provide a valuable insight to members in to how to generate more interest in group travel.”
