Groups Direct to celebrate Dame Vera Lynn’s 100th Birthday

Group experience company, Groups Direct, will host what’s described as an exclusive event called the Dame Vera Lynn Centenary Celebration to mark Dame Vera Lynn’s birthday this autumn. 

The experience – a day time event complete with live music and dinner – will take place at a four-star hotel in Daventry on 10th September.

About the event

To celebrate Dame Vera’s 100th birthday, which was on 20th March this year, Groups Direct has organised this special event that will take groups back to the 1940s with an array of experiences, including live music.

Visitors will be treated to a three-course meal before tribute artist Lorrie Brown, the Vera Lynn tribute, presents a number of Vera Lynn’s most famous songs, including We’ll Meet Again and White Cliffs of Dover.

Lorrie Brown is endorsed by Dame Vera Lynn herself and will be accompanied by a live band.

Group booking information

Group booking rates for the Dame Vera Lynn Centenary Celebration are available for parties of ten or more people, and can be booked by emailing reservations@groupsdirect.co.uk.

Pricing includes a three course meal with tea and coffee; entertainment by the Dame Vera Lynn tribute and big band music; an overnight stay in the hotel; and breakfast the following morning.

Groups will also have use of the hotel facilities, such as the onsite gym and swimming pool.
