Available to book at hotels in Essex, Cheshire, Lancashire, Warwickshire and Bristol on various dates throughout 2017, the lunch includes entertainment, a world music quiz and a three course meal, plus tea and coffee.
Each of the featured hotels will be decked out to reflect the glamour of old steam ships; groups heading to a lunch will ‘climb aboard’ the SS Greatdays and be accompanied by a ‘crew’.
Entertainment will be led by a musical captain and a first officer who will ‘steer’ the audience from country to country with well-known songs symbolic of each different culture – singing along is welcome.
Groups are also encouraged to dress up for the occasion; choose from black tie, evening wear, nautical costumes or pirates. There’s a prize for the best dressed.
A world music quiz and a raffle are also to be expected.
A typical Cruise the World Musical Lunch begins at 10.45am with a welcome tea and coffee, and finishes at 3pm after a finale singalong. Minimum group size for bookings is typically from around 15-20 people upwards.
Stay over night
The Nailcote Hall Hotel in Warwickshire, the Mercure Dunkenhalgh Hotel & Spa in Lancashire and the Hallmark Hotel London Chigwell Prince Regent in Essex are among those venues that host Cruise the Musical Lunches.
Group travel organisers who’d like to prolong a stay at one of the featured hotels can do so; overnight prices are available on request.
