Great Yorkshire Show

The 160th Great Yorkshire Show will take place in Harrogate in July 2018, celebrating the very best of farming, food and the countryside.

Over 130,000 visitors and 8,500 animals flock to the Great Yorkshire Showground every year for the three day show. The 2018 event will run from 10th to 12th July.

In the judging rings, thousands of animals compete, from cattle to sheep, pigs to pigeons, and the show finishes with a prestigious showjumping class; the Cock O’The North competition.

While the show has agriculture at its heart, there’s also entertainment, shopping, live music, cookery demos and a professional catwalk fashion show – including a one-off celebrity special.

There will also be a number of celebrity appearances, still to be confirmed. To give you a taste of what to expect, 2017’s event saw appearances from former England cricketer Ryan Sidebottom, former England rugby player Keith Senior, BBC presenters Amy Garcia and Abbie Dewhurst and the Yorkshire Vet television show stars Julian Norton and Peter Wright.

Organisers say that the 2018 event will be bigger and better than ever. Plans are under way to celebrate 160 shows spanning the decades since 1838, with a host of special surprises lined up to mark the milestone.

Further show details will be revealed throughout December, and ticket sales will launch in spring 2018.
