Gin cruises among special sailings with Ullswater Steamers

Back for another year, groups can opt for a gin cruise with Ullswater Steamers on selected dates throughout the summer months, running from 26th June until 28th August on Ullswater in the Lake District.

Passengers will taste locally produced gin from The Lakes Distillery while learning about how the spirit is made. There will also be on board entertainment.

The first fish & chips cruise of the year will set sail on 24th June, running on several dates, with the last sailing scheduled for 26th August.

The two-hour evening supper cruise features musical entertainment and also has vegetarian and gluten-free options available.

Groups are welcome to book onto any of the special cruises on the dates provided, or for a more exclusive experience, the team is sometimes able to organise bespoke trips for organisers which are treated like a private charter.

These bespoke trips cost more than regular cruises but group organisers have more flexibility by being able to request timings and other options when booking.

Other highlights for 2020

• Birkett Trophy Cruise (4th July): Passengers will watch the award-winning Birkett Trophy Yacht Race from their own boat. Tickets on the private charter include a three hour cruise, race commentary and a complimentary drink.
• Autumn Colour Photography Cruise (17th October): A local photographer will be on board to help passengers capture the different colours of the season while on the water, with tips and guidance offered. 
• Santa & Magic Cruise (19th December): Groups with children can take part in the 90-minute voyage which includes a magic show, Christmas balloons and a gift from Santa. There will also be a complimentary mince pie to celebrate the festive season.
