The cast joining Strictly Come Dancing star Alexandra Burke on the UK and Ireland tour of The Bodyguard have been revealed.

As previously announced, Alexandra Burke will reprise the role of Rachel Marron, after playing the character in London and on the 2015/16 UK tour.

Joining her will be Benoît Maréchal (Spiral) as Frank Farmer, Micha Richardson (Legally Blonde) as Nicki Marron, Peter Landi (This House) as Bill Devaney, Craig Berry (Mammia Mia!) as Tony, Gary Turner (Emmerdale) as Sy Spector, Phil Atkinson (Little Shop of Horrors) as The Stalker and Simon Cotton (Clockwork Orange) as Ray Court.

Carole Stennett, who has previously starred in King, will take over the role of Rachel Marron at certain performances.

The rest of the casting includes Rosie Cava-Beale, Callum Clack, Myles Cork, Kerry Crozier, Sia Duada, Gustav Die, Chris Edgerley, James Lee Harris, Holly Liburd, Jack Loy, Hannaha Millichamp, Helen Parsons, Daniil Shmidt, Jessica Simmons, Yiota Theo and Michael Wade Peters.

Following its opening in Glasgow on 3rd December, the new UK tour will travel to locations including Liverpool, Milton Keynes, Bristol, Cardiff, Nottingham, Newcastle and Edinburgh, among others, until it concludes in Ireland on 17th August. 

The Bodyguard: Synopsis

Based on the Warner Bros. film of the same name, the production follows former secret service agent Frank Farmer as he is hired to protect superstar Rachel Marron from an unknown stalker. Each expects to be in charge – what they don’t expect is to fall in love.

The Bodyguard features a whole host of classic hits including Queen of the Night, So Emotional, One Moment in Time, Saving All My Love, I Wanna Dance With Somebody and I Will Always Love You.
