Cast of Beautiful - The Carole King Musical

The show Beautiful – The Carole King Musical will complete its West End run at the Aldwych Theatre this August before embarking on a new UK tour.

The West End production, which is based on the early life and career of singer songwriter Carole King, will host its final performances on 5th August.

The musical will then begin a UK tour on 9th September, starting in Bradford.

The tour will visit Plymouth, Southampton, Norwich, Southend, Nottingham and Belfast. Other confirmed cities on the tour circuit include Birmingham, Newcastle, Hull, Edinburgh and Manchester.

Beautiful – The Carole King Musical

The show describes itself to be the untold story of Carole King’s journey from school girl to superstar. Audiences will find out about her relationship with husband and song writing partner Gerry Goffin and their close friendship and rivalry with fellow song writing duo Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil.

The musical features classic Carole King songs including So Far Away, It Might as Well Rain Until September, Take Good Care of my Baby, Will You Love Me Tomorrow, Up on the Roof, Locomotion, One Fine Day, You’ve Got a Friend, (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman and I Feel the Earth Move.

It will also include songs from Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil like You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling, On Broadway and Uptown.

The West End cast comprises Cassidy Janson as Carole King, Matthew Seadon-Young as Gerry Goffin, Stephanie McKeon as Cynthia Weil, and Ian McIntosh as Barry Mann.
