GTOs react to new ‘tourist tax’ for day trippers to Venice
Group travel organisers have had their say on a new entry fee for Venice which aims to curb over-tourism.
Serious About Group Events is offering discounted rates to group travel organisers who’d like to attend a skittles weekends at the end of March.
The offer is available to organisers who are interested in taking a group to a similar event in the future.
While not specifically a fam trip, the opportunity presents itself as a way for participants to get a feel for what Serious About Group Events offers for groups.
What’s included?
The skittles weekend will take place from 24th until 26th March at Mill Rythe Holiday Village on Hayling Island, Hampshire.
The trip costs £85 per person, and GTOs will get to experience playing the traditional pub game of skittles along with more than 400 skittles teams from all over England and Wales.
The offer also includes two nights’ full board accommodation, entertainment on both evenings and local excursions.
Amongst the visitors will be the winners of a skittles competition staged at the 2016 Group Leisure & Travel Show last October. Guests will also include other group organisers who want to experience the product first hand.
