Groups can scale the Victorian entertainment venue for panoramic views over London.

The fully-guided experience invites visitors to scale the building for panoramic views, stretching 25 miles across the city.

Lasting an hour, Summit: Ally Pally Rooftop Adventure leads climbers up a purpose-built route to the Angel of Plenty statue, standing 130 metres above the City of London. From the top, guests can see landmarks including St Paul’s Cathedral, The Shard, Canary Wharf, and several major stadiums.

Wire & Sky, the team behind the Dare Skywalk at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Cutty Sark rig climb, Liverpool’s Anfield Abseil, and Up at The O2, has created the experience.

Lucy Fenner, commercial director at Alexandra Palace said: “For more than 150 years, Ally Pally has been the People’s Palace, a place where everyone can come to experience something truly special, and we’re thrilled to add Summit to that legacy.

“This new rooftop adventure, the highest roof walk in the UK, offers a completely new perspective on the Palace, with stunning panoramic views across London. Summit is an exciting and significant addition to our year-round destination, set to attract new visitors from further afield, while offering even more reasons to spend time at Alexandra Park and Palace. And of course, not only is Summit the highest, we’re also the only palace you can actually walk over!”

Group climbs

Summit offers three standard climb types, giving visitors a choice of atmosphere that suits them best. Daytime Climbs will offer wide-open views across the capital, Sunset Climbs are timed for golden hour skies; and London Lights Climbs offer a dazzling panorama as the city glows after dark.

Private climbs are available for groups and are led by a private guide at the group’s pace. Group bookings are suited for larger bookings including corporate and team-building groups and charity events.
