Star Clippers

Star Clippers’ three tall ships will sail the Caribbean, east and west Mediterranean, Thailand and Indonesian waters throughout the year.

A new sailing in the Caribbean is an 11-night cruise from Montego Bay, Jamaica to Barbados on board the flagship, Royal Clipper, departing on 4th December and calling into Dominican Republic, St. Barts, Antigua and Iles des Saintes.

There is also a new Greek island destination for 2018; Elafonisos, with turquoise waters making it a great spot for snorkelling.

One-off sailings to Greece include an October cruise from Athens to Malta, calling into some of the smaller Greek islands including Hydra and Monemvasia.

And in November, Star Flyer will go on a second new, one-off sailing, from Malaga to Gran Canaria, calling into Cadiz, Morocco, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and Las Palmas.

A number of new cultural and wellness sailings have also been launched for this year, where lectures about personal development, health, wellness and cultural themes are incorporated into the cruise.

Groups can take part in yoga sessions, morning and evening, on the ships’ teak decks, or enjoy creative writing or fashion topics on some cruises.

Christmas in the British Virgin Islands

For the first time, Star Flyer will spend Christmas Day on Norman Island, at the southern tip of the British Virgin Islands. The tranquillity of the island reportedly adds to the belief that it inspired the classic book Treasure Island. It now is privately owned, uninhabited and offers excellent snorkelling in caves and bays.

Star Flyer departs from St. Maarten on 22nd December for a seven-night sailing around the Caribbean’s `treasure islands’ and includes all meals on board and port charges.
