Christmas food preparation at Blists Hill Victorian Town

Blists Hill Victorian Town, near Ironbridge, Shropshire, has revealed dates for two Very Victorian festive weekends this December, which are suitable for groups.

Visitors will feel like they’ve travelled back over 100 years to experience the sights, sounds and smells of a traditional Victorian Christmas at the living history attraction.

Blists Hill’s two festive weekends will take place on 8th and 9th, and 15th and 16th December. Group travel organisers will be able to take advantage of the special £9.50 per person group rate for pre-booked parties of 15 or more.

Christmas: Victorian style

During a visit, groups will get to soak up a yuletide atmosphere with seasonal entertainment and activities. Watch as the townsfolk busily make preparations for Christmas; meet Father Christmas’ reindeer; and enjoy festive food and drink throughout the town.

You’ll get to explore the traditionally decorated streets and experience the spirit of Christmas in the recreated shops and cosy cottages where you can chat to the costumed townsfolk about their Christmas preparations.

There will also be a chance to see a brass bands and sing along with carol singers. And don’t miss the opportunity to explore the Victorian town from up high on a horse and cart ride, all suitable for groups.

There is free coach parking at Blists Hill, and group leaders and coach drivers are entitled to complimentary admission when accompanying a group. Plus, coach drivers will be given a free refreshment voucher.
