Albatross Travel, which provides itineraries for coach operators and the group tourism industry, has launched an extensive selection of new tours as part of its upcoming Winter Tours programme.

Group travel organisers booking ahead in 2018/19 can choose from a number of newly revealed holidays including a train-themed short break and a four-day jaunt to Liverpool, themed around music.

Selected tours; from Cornwall to Cumbria

Train enthusiasts might enjoy the series of steam specials that Albatross is offering. Examples include a five day half-board break this November which includes a journey on the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway in Cumbria and a guided tour and lunch at Muncaster Castle.

There are also plenty of options for visiting indoor attractions, such as the Eden Project in Cornwall. Alternatively a trip to Liverpool is being packaged as a Fab 4 & British Music Experience, a four night break which includes a visit to the Beatles Story and British Music Experience.

Other winter tour ideas include a four night half-board break in Blackpool with afternoon tea at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom and a BBC MediaCity UK studio tour where there will be an opportunity to practice presenting a news and weather bulletin.

Also included in this particular package is a fish and chip cruise on the Lancaster Canal.

Albatross Travel is also offering new Yuletide of Yesteryear tours where participants can ‘step back in time and enjoy all the magic of a Victorian Christmas’.

Four separate tours incorporate visits to Blists Hills Victorian Town open-air museum near Telford; the street markets at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard’s Victorian Festival of Christmas; and the Beamish and Black Country Museums.
