After-hours tours and painting workshops among Scenic’s European river cruise extras

The cruise line has also revealed that for 2022, there will be a specific Enrichment Manager for all Europe river cruises, who will host cabaret nights, cooking lessons, wine tastings as well as informative lectures for guests. 

Some of the new experiences offered will also include an onboard glassblower demonstration, painting classes for guests sailing the Rhône and a lecture from a tulip grower in the Netherlands.

New experiences include: 

• Exclusive access to Bordeaux’s immersive exhibition, Les Bassins de Lumières: Bordeaux’s cavernous former submarine base has been transformed into a vast centre of digital art. The largest of its kind in the world, the immersive display features sensory light and sound displays. Scenic guests will be given exclusive after-hours access to enjoy the exhibition without the crowds. It’s included on two of Scenic’s cruises, the 11-day Beautiful Bordeaux itinerary and the 11-day Flavours of Bordeaux Culinary Cruise. 
  
  
• Silk painting workshop, Lyon: guests will be able to learn about Lyon’s rich heritage in silk production, that dates back almost five centuries, during a silk painting workshop. The experience is included on the 8-day Idyllic Rhone sailing. 

Scenic’s European river cruises include sailings on the Rhine, Main, Danube and Moselle rivers visiting a number of destinations and attractions. 

Group bookings

There are a number of group booking offers such as discounts and private door-to-door chauffeur transfers. There are a variety of restaurants and dining options to select as well as free time to explore each destination independently.
