Forest Lodge Garden Centre

Groups can now enter Birdworld in Surrey for £5 per person when they book lunch or dinner in the restaurant at the adjoining Forest Lodge Garden Centre.

The garden centre has an on-site restaurant that seats 250 people, and organisers booking for 12 or more people for a coffee stop, lunch or dinner can take advantage ofthis special group rate.

A range of homemade dishes, including hand carved roasted meat with seasonal vegetables, and battered fish and chips are available to pre-order for table service.

Alternatively guests can select a dish upon arrival at assisted service counters. All group visits must be booked in advance.

Forest Lodge has plenty of other incentives for group travel such as convenient pick-up and drop-off points, and free on-site coach parking.

Groups visiting the garden centre will find a range of indoor and outdoor plants on sale, as well as gifts, jewellery, books, shoes and clothing.

Birdworld is situated right next to the Forest Lodge Garden Centre. Sprawling across 26 acres, the bird and animal attraction is home to a vast collection of exotic birds, as well as animals in the Jenny Wren Farm Park and sea creatures in the Underwater World Aquarium.

There are a variety of bird enclosures at the site, including a walkthrough flamingo area, and the Crescent Aviaries. The latter is home to a range of species, including the colourful cousins of starlings, pigeons and thrushes.

Further highlights include two penguin enclosures – Humboldt and African – where you can see regular feeding sessions and talks in order to find out a little more about the birds.

Visitors can also enjoy regular outdoor flying displays and indoor presentations showcasing a range of birds.

The £5 entry price to Birdworld is available between April and September.
