From Toulouse’s newly renovated Musée des Augustins to Brittany’s latest UNESCO World Heritage Site and exciting theme park expansions at Puy du Fou, Futuroscope and Disneyland Paris, France offers fresh attractions and experiences.
Toulouse
Toulouse’s Musée des Augustins has reopened to the public after seven years of renovations. Set within a former Augustinian convent, it’s one of France’s oldest fine art museums and its cloister-connected rooms house 700-odd paintings and sculptures.
Elsewhere in the city, must-sees for groups include the Halle de Machine, where the giant show machines of street theatre company La Machine are displayed and demonstrated, and the Cité de l’espace, a 4,000 square metre attraction dedicated to space exploration.
Brittany
Inscribed in July 2025, the Megaliths of Carnac and of the shores of Morbihan is France’s newest UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located on the south coast of Brittany, the site protects more than 3,000 prehistoric stones that are often referred to as France’s Stonehenge.
A range of dedicated tours are available for groups on the official Menhirs du Carnac website (menhirs-carnac.fr/en). Itineraries can easily be plumped up with everything from dolphin spotting boat trips to visits to half-timbered port towns like Auray.

Puy du Fou
The unique park in the Pays de la Loire region has plenty to look forward to this year. There’s a new King Arthur’s Sword show, combining technical and artistic innovations, which features an incredible 40 tonnes of moving scenery and sees Tristan facing the most perilous trials to free Excalibur and save King Arthur.
Plus the onsite Le Grand Siècle hotel is expanding with an extra 100 rooms to meet demand – there were more than three million visitors in 2025. And the other big news is that the park is once again opening at Christmas, transformed into a festive feast for the senses. There are special rates for groups of 20+.

Futuroscope & Aquascope
There are now even more reason to visit Futuroscope in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region with the opening of Aquascope, a 6,000 square metre waterpark with eight slides, accessible from a 24 metre tower, an immersive cinema experience, lazy rivers and more.
New at Futuroscope is Mission Bermudes which opened in summer 2025. Designed as a life-size adventure film, it takes visitors on a high-risk rescue mission to the heart of the Bermuda Triangle. Using real-life sets, striking sensory effects and dynamic staging, the experience takes place aboard Rocking Boats, hybrid vehicles developed exclusively for the park. Groups can also choose to stay in one of the onsite hotels and check out the many restaurants.

Disneyland Paris
This spring will see the opening of the new World of Frozen at Disneyland Paris. Visitors will be able to explore a replica Arendelle, have meet and greets with characters like Olaf, and watch a new night-time light and projection show on the area’s new lake.
The heart of the village will be Frozen Ever After, a new attraction taking guests on a boat ride alongside Anna, Elsa, and their friends. The ride will travel from the snowy forest to the Valley of the Trolls, through Elsa’s dazzling Ice Palace, before ending with a spectacular finale in Arendelle Bay lit by snowflake-shaped fireworks.
