Groups can follow in the footsteps of Netflix’s new Agatha Christie adaptation Seven Dials, with stunning filming locations across Bath and Gloucestershire.

Bath and a selection of Gloucestershire locations were used for filming much of the three-part limited series starring Martin Freeman (as Superintendent Battle), Helena Bonham Carter (as Lady Caterham) and Mia McKenna-Bruce (Lady Eileen ‘Bundle’ Brent”.
Set in 1925 England, it follows the inquisitive Bundle as she pieces together the clues behind a chilling conspiracy that threatens to upend her world. A flamboyant country house party ends in tragedy and Bundle finds herself pulled into a mystery. Determined to uncover the truth, she digs deeper and uncovers cryptic clues as well as shocking revelations.

Bristol
On location in Bristol the production team added a 1920’s period feel to locations including Arnos Vale Cemetery, Queen Square, All Saints Lane and the Corn Street area surrounding St Nicholas Markets.
Police station sets were created in the offices located above St Nicholas Market, whilst on Bridewell Street, an “Old Scotland Yard” exterior was created, complete with vintage cars, extras in period costume and London street signs.

Bath
In Bath, filming locations included Abbey Green and Great Pulteney Street. The latter is the widest thoroughfare in Bath and is lined with Georgian properties.
Holburne Museum, the city’s first public art gallery, is located at one end of the street and houses the collection of Sir William Holburne (1793-1874), including bronze sculptures, silver, porcelain and Dutch landscapes collected during his 18-month Grand Tour of Europe. The museum also hosts a changing exhibition schedule and groups can get in touch to book a visit.

Also located at the end of Great Pulteney Street is Sydney Gardens, the only remaining 18th century pleasure gardens in the country. The gardens were frequently visited by Jane Austen during her time living in Bath.
Groups can follow in the footsteps of Austen and discover the inspirations for her iconic works. Highlights in Bath include the Jane Austen Centre and No.1 Royal Crescent.
West Somerset Railway
Further afield, West Somerset Railway’s Blue Anchor Station featured in the Netflix period mystery and groups can take advantage of discounted train fares, seat reservations and optional catering when riding the railway. Blue Anchor Station is one of a number of stops along the line and is located in a quiet seaside village.

Badminton House Estate
Badminton House Estate in South Gloucestershire served as a filming location and Lady Eileen ‘Bundle’ Brent (Mia Mckenna-Bruce) can be spotted there within the production. It served as the Chimneys Estate in the series.
Exclusive private garden tours are available from April to September for groups of 15 or more and are led by the head gardeners and walled garden team offering an insight into the design, planting, and heritage of the grounds where the game of badminton originated.

Westonbirt Arboretum
Home to 2,500 types of tree and shrub and five national tree collections, Westonbirt Arboretum in Gloucestershire was used for filming by Netflix. Westonbirt House was used as well as the arboretum itself - for interior and exterior shots of Wyvern Abbey, Mr Lomax’s estate.
Coach parking and group bookings are available, with free entry for the coach driver and discounted pre-booked admission. Seasonal guided walks can also be booked during spring, summer and winter to provide insight into the myths, stories and history of the arboretum.
