Woburn Abbey Unveils 2017 Group Packages %7C Group Travel News

Woburn Abbey and Gardens has revealed its group options for the end of 2016 and 2017.

Woburn offers an abbey, gardens, safari park, hotel, deer park and tearoom.

At Woburn Abbey, groups can view the largest collection of Venetian views by Canaletto, explore 250 works of art featured in over 20 rooms, or take a guided tour to hear about the estate’s history, the family and the extensive collections.

In the abbey gardens, meanwhile, parties can see designs inspired by landscape gardener Humphry Repton and a tropical Camellia House and Rockery Pavilion, among 28 acres of greenland and gardens.

Groups can take a guided tour with an RHS qualified gardener – either a standard tour, a behind the scenes Repton’s Red Book tour or a tour about the history of the garden.

Visitors can also take a Practical Garden or VIP Garden Tour tailored to their group’s interest.

At the Safari Park, groups can attend keeper talks, witness feedings and see demonstrations throughout the day. Entry to the Safari Park also includes admission to a 3D cinema, an indoor sea lion show and a visit to Elephant Meadow.

Peckish groups can visit The Duchess’ Tea room for some afternoon tea. They can opt for a selection of teas and coffees complemented by a variety of cakes and biscuits, or freshly prepared cream tea.

Groups can also try the Duchess Anna Maria Afternoon Tea. This consists of homemade cakes, sandwiches and scones with jams and clotted cream with tea or coffee.

Soups, sandwiches and two course lunches are also available at The Duchess’ Tea Room.

Group Packages

For groups who might want more of an itinerary, Woburn also offers suggested packages.

The Howland package begins with tea, coffee and biscuits followed by a visit to the abbey. Lunch can then be taken in the tea room before groups visit the gardens. This package includes a guided tour of either.

The Russell package allows for groups to visit the abbey in their own time before having a guided tour of the gardens, followed by cream tea at The Duchess’ Tea Room.

A Woburn Experience features entry to both Woburn Safari Park and Woburn Abbey and Gardens. This also includes the option of a guide joining the groups’ coach for the safari drive.

Groups can also visit both Woburn Abbey and Bletchley Park with a pre-booked lunch between the two. This is available on the Woburn Abbey & Bletchley Park package.
