Bowood House in Wiltshire

A series of new group tours in Wiltshire have been revealed for 2016, including a joint package combining Arundells and Salisbury Cathedral & Magna Carta.

Wiltshire makes for an ideal day out for group travel already, boasting plenty of attractions from ancient monuments and country houses to colourful gardens and historic villages.

New specialist tours and packages for groups

2016 has been termed the Year of the Garden because it marks the 300th anniversary of English landscape gardener Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown.

Groups which like to celebrate can enjoy a new Capability Brown package which includes a tour of both Longleat and Bowood House and Gardens with lunch and cream tea.

Also new is a Salisbury Cathedral & Magna Carta tour plus entrance to Salisbury Contemporary Craft and Heritage Festival on 9th, 10th and 11th September. Group rates start at £10 per person.

GTOS who would like to add a historic house to the mix can opt for a joint package combining Arundells (a Grade II listed house in Salisbury) and Salisbury Cathedral & Magna Carta.

This tour is available to pre-booked groups of ten or more at a price of £13 per person.

Further reasons to visit Wiltshire

There are numerous places to take a group across the county of Wiltshire. Don’t miss a visit to the World Heritage Site of Stonehenge and Avebury, or the Wiltshire Museum where you can see gold from the time of Stonehenge.

Other must-visits include National Trust properties Great Chalfield Manor, Lacock Abbey and Stourhead – perfect for groups who enjoy visiting gardens.

There are also a host of rural market towns, such as Malmesbury, plus others used as filming locations for recent period drama productions. Examples include Corsham which features in Poldark, and Bradford on Avon which appears in Wolf Hall.

Group benefits

GTOs can expect a variety of easy coach drop off points at many Wiltshire attractions, as well as discounted ticket prices and free tickets for coach drivers and group travel organisers.
