The Longleat Festival of Light returns for 2025 with a celebration of British icons, featuring beloved characters and iconic landmarks brought to life in dazzling light displays.

The Festival of Light at Longleat

The Festival of Light will take place on selected dates from 8th November to 11th January 2026.

Wallace & Gromit, Shaun the Sheep and Morph are among the lantern creations that will be on display for the first time at Longleat in Wiltshire from 8th November to 11th January 2026.

Mossy Bottom Farm, West Wallaby Street and other Aardman moments will also be illuminated at the Festival of Light. Along with famous TV creations, sights from across Britain - including Tower Bridge, Stonehenge, Giant’s Causeway and Glenfinnan Viaduct - will be recreated in a 2.5km lantern trail in the grounds of Longleat.

Scott Ashman, head of operations at Longleat, said: “We are delighted to be working with Aardman for The Festival of Light 2025 – and we are confident, as Wallace would say to Gromit, that it will be ’a grand day out’. And of course, cheese will play a part too!

“As well as guests being able to see these celebrated characters in lantern form, visitors will be able to explore some of Britain’s iconic landmarks on the 2.5 km route. Visit a breath-taking 15m tall Tower Bridge and China Town in London, travel through Stonehenge, head to Blackpool to enjoy traditional seaside attractions, marvel at the Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland, the Welsh Dragon, the Glenfinnan Viaduct in Scotland and so much more.”

The 250th anniversary of Jane Austen’s birth will also be marked as part of the festival, with a focus on iconic writers and singers from across the decade among other surprises.
