It’s that time… the annual reader awards are now open for your votes. We’re inviting readers to share their thoughts and help us to celebrate the fantastic group travel sector.
Now more than ever offers the chance to reflect and look ahead with positivity. And what better way to do so than by celebrating the best attractions, tour operators, destinations and people who make group travel special.
The last year has highlighted our love of trips and holidays, especially as part of a group, and we want to shine a spotlight on the places, people and venues that stand out. We’re inviting GTOs to tell us what and where is best, whether it’s a top coach company or a wonderful garden.
It isn’t just about the last year, think back to where you have been in the past that stood out, or perhaps a tour operator helped you with a trip of a lifetime? It may not be the latest – but what has been the greatest? The last year doesn’t need to be forgotten completely; perhaps you managed a day out or short break when you were able to. Or was there a certain company who went the extra mile to help rearrange a trip?
The 2021 Group Leisure & Travel Awards not only recognises those places, providers and people but your votes help recommend venues, companies and locations to other GTOs.
You can vote in as many categories as you would like. There are 19 in total including Best UK Destination, Best Guided Tour, and Best Museum or Gallery.

All category finalists will be made public via the magazine and website, ahead of the ceremony which will be broadcast online from our custom studio on Thursday 28th October 2021.

Who can vote?
Anyone who organises group holidays or trips. We don’t count votes from travel trade professionals working for suppliers and operators, such as tour companies, tourist boards or hoteliers.
The deadline to vote is Monday, 12th July, 2021.

Group Travel Organiser of the Year Award® - win £2,000 towards a holiday
This award recognises great group travel organisers who go the extra mile to ensure their group have fantastic trips and memorable experiences.
People who organise group trips and holidays can enter themselves into the competition, whether it’s your full-time job, a voluntary role or if you organise outings as a hobby or as an independent travel organiser. You can also nominate someone else for the award and there are no limits on the number of people you can nominate. You can also enter youself and nominate someone else should youe choose to.
It’s useful to remember that this is an award for an individual, not a company. Other categories enable readers to vote for their favourite suppliers and The Excellence Award is for an individual from the travel trade.

Previous winners have worked for tour operators, coach companies, ticket providers, racecourses and even world-class orchestras. Now it’s time to tell us who goes above and beyond for you when it comes to your group travel needs and bookings.
