Oscar-winning Ghost the Musical will tour the UK
Ghost the Musical will make a return to the stage this summer, embarking on a UK tour for the first time since 2019.
Norwich based Grand UK Holidays has recently launched its 2019 brochure which includes a wide range of escorted holidays tailored to the more mature traveller.
According to Harold Burke, sales director of Grand UK Holidays, and winner of the ‘Outstanding Contribution to Group Travel’ Award at last year’s Group Leisure & Travel Awards, the selection of breaks includes UK and European coach tours.
Burke commented: “We are all really excited at having more than 40 new tours featured in our latest brochure that have been carefully crafted with the mature traveller in mind.”
Group breaks
Outlined in the brochure is a new five-day Grand UK Gold tour, called Sights of the Solent where guests will stay at a 4-star spa hotel in Fareham, from where clients can explore the historic maritime Solent, where Henry VIII’s fleets defended against the Spanish Armada.
The tour takes in this region, visiting the Historic Royal Dockyards in Portsmouth, the tranquil New Forest and across the Solent itself to the Isle of Wight.
Amongst other highlights are a number of coach tours to the Yorkshire region, including an Emmerdale Experience and Yorkshire onscreen five-day tour which allows clients to explore behind the scenes of the former Emmerdale ITV studios in Leeds, along with scenic excursions through the Yorkshire Dales, tracing the many other television associations of this much-filmed county.
The new Trails & Rails through hidden Wales five-day tour explores rural Mid Wales from its base in the spa town of Llandrindod Wells. Excursions include a visit to Gigrin Farm, where you will see hundreds of wild Red Kites as they enjoy their afternoon feed.
For those who may wish to travel further afield, there are some European escorted coach holidays to choose from including a 12-day tour which features Krakow and Prague; a 12-day tour on the Istrian Riviera where travellers will discover the scenery of Croatia; and an eight or nine day Alpine tour, with incredible scenery through the Alps.
