The only national awards for group travel need the views and opinions of GTOs. Help recognise the best attractions, experiences, shows, events and suppliers.

Best Garden Visit: Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew

Winning an award means so much to attractions such as the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, which was named Best Garden Visit in 2023.

If you organise group trips or holidays as a hobby, volunteer, or as a full-time job - or even if you operate as an independent travel organiser - we want to hear your views.

The 2024 Group Leisure & Travel Awards programme is under way. Round 1 nominations across 18 categories (see Category Guide), have now closed.

We will soon ask GTOs to vote in round 2 from a shortlist of six finalists in each category to determine the overall winners.

The GLT Awards programme celebrates the best across the industry and rewards special individuals. But none of this would be possible without the support of the attractions, suppliers and companies that become Awards Partners.

The attractions and companies above continue to play a central role in the success of the awards and how they highlight all that is best in the group travel sector.

Support from Awards Partners

LeShuttle was among the first big names to back the 2024 initiative and renew their involvement. Tracy Bayliss said: “LeShuttle is thrilled to once again be an Awards Partner for the 2024 Group Leisure & Travel Awards as it brings together the best of the best, all with a common goal of supporting group travel.

“Recognising the best providers, attractions and destinations as chosen by the readers is fundamental in giving the industry the appreciation it deserves. I can’t wait to celebrate in 2024 at the new five-star venue in London.”

Ellie Fulcher from Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, another Awards Partner, added: “All of us at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines are delighted to be a 2024 GLT Awards Partner. As a family-run cruise line, we really take the experience personally and love promoting our worldwide cruise programme for groups through the UK’s number one initiative which celebrates the very best in the group travel industry.

“It’s sure to be an even bigger and better event than before as we head to London in the summer of 2024.”

Back in London and a new time of year

We’re moving to a five-star venue in London for the 2024 ceremony which will take place at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington on Friday 27th June.

Recognising individuals

Is there somebody in the travel trade who has gone the extra mile to make your job as a GTO easier? Make sure you put them forward for The Excellence Award, which is for service to group travel organisers.

The Excellence Award has helped recognise all types of people working in all areas of the sector, including individuals who have worked for coach and tour operators, attractions, cruise lines and more.

And every year the GLT Awards ceremony culminates with the GTO of the Year Award®, which comes with a £2,000 prize to spend on a holiday. It is a very special accolade that recognises GTOs for their time, effort and dedication. To enter or nominate go to groupleisureandtravel.com/gtooftheyear.
