The annual event, Kew the Music, has announced all of its guest performers for the upcoming event, set to take place in July.

The annual event, Kew the Music, has announced all of its guest performers for the upcoming event, set to take place in July.

The popular music event will take place at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew from 9th to 14th July, 2019 and will feature an array of artists performing, including Billy Ocean and Jess Glynne.

On 9th July, Beverley Knight and Billy Ocean are set to take to the stage, both playing full headline sets, and making their Kew the Music debuts. 

Labelled the ‘Queen of British soul’ Beverley Knight has sold over a million albums, won three MOBO Awards, and has been nominated multiple times for Best Female at the Brits, among other noble awards and nominations.

Billy Ocean has sold over 30 million records to date and reached gold and platinum status worldwide from his ballads like Suddenly to his pop classics like Love Really Hurts Without You and When The Going Gets Tough

Jess Glynne will be performing on 10th July. In 2018 Jess scored a second UK number one with her anticipated second album Always in Between

Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra will play on 11th July. Jools has been touring with his band, the Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, for more than 25 years and once again he will be joined by Gilson Lavis and regular guest vocalists, Ruby Turner and Louise Marshall.

On 12th July, Craig David who has sold 15 million albums to date will take to the stage with his contemporary R&B sound. 

The band, Garbage will perform on the penultimate day, 13th July, after playing together for over 25 years attracting attention with its sound and visual aesthetics. 

Finally, on 14th July, Rick Astley, the much-loved multi-million selling 80s icon will take to the stage. He became a viral sensation in the noughties and most recently he has been back in the studio creating new music, from ballads, to upbeat dance beats, to pop songs and soul sounds.
