Greenland

A new Cruise & Walk holiday programme from Ramblers Walking Holidays combines walking trails worldwide with small cruise experiences on Fred. Olsen Cruise Line ships.

The newly launched 2018 brochure details 47 itineraries that combine walking with cruising.

Group travel organisers can choose from existing holidays such as Baltic Discovery, Magic of the Canaries and Islands of the Caribbean, or opt for new tours like Voyage to Greenland or Islands of the Indian Ocean.

GTOs will find a continuum of walking grades across the holidays that range from ‘Leisurely’ to ‘Moderate’ to help them choose a suitable break for their group.

Styles of holidays are also indicated and include categories such as ‘Pioneer’ for the more adventurous traveller, and ‘Overnights in Port’ where you can head out in the evenings to explore.

“Best of both worlds”

Kathy Cook, joint managing director commented: “Cruise & Walk Holidays offer the best of both worlds – top quality cruising with big vistas and the opportunity to explore some of the world’s most remote and fascinating destinations in more depth on foot.

“From viewing the mighty Norwegian Fjords and ethereal colours of the Arctic at sunrise from the ship’s deck, to wandering through eerie volcanic landscapes and up breath-taking glacial valleys, stepping aboard then stepping ashore proves equally rewarding no matter what cruise you choose.”

New Cruise & Walk holidays include…
