Staunton, who is best-known for Dolores Umbridge in the Harry Potter films among countless other television, film and stage credits, will play meddlesome socialite turned matchmaker Dolly Levi, as she travels to Yonkers, New York to find a match for the miserly, unmarried ‘half-a-millionaire’ Horace Vandergelder.

But everything changes when she decides that the next match she needs to make is for herself.

“Dolly Levi is one of the great characters in musical theatre, and I can’t wait to join the company in bringing our new production to the iconic London Palladium.”
