Tour operator Shearings Holidays has revealed its new 2018 river cruise programme, which features 21 new cruise itineraries with A-Rosa ships.

A-Rosa ship

Shearings has partnered with A-Rosa (a cruise line that operates river cruises in Germany) to offer 12 all-inclusive tours on-board five A-Rosa ships.

The new programme encompasses sailings along the Rhine, Moselle, Danube, Dutch and Belgian Waterways, Seine and Rhone.

The new selection of lifestyle cruises offer what’s described as ‘intimate and relaxing holiday experiences’, and include an eight day Dutch Delights & Charms of Flanders cruise, a ten day Romance on the Rhine & Moselle cruise, and a ten day Provencal Rhone & the Camargue cruise.

Christmas sailings

Groups will also be able to choose from some new festive sailings, including the chance to sail on the Danube for the first time, on-board the MS A-Rose Donna.

The new seasonal cruises also include a Christmas Market on the Danube sailing, and a New Year’s Eve itinerary. Highlight destinations along the Danube include Vienna, ancient Bratislava, Medieval Bamberg and Budapest, and the scenery encompasses mountains, valleys, and vineyards.

More new cruises

Shearings has also added two itineraries on-board the 4-star MS Serenade 2, including a 12 day Danube Symphony cruise and a ten day Flavours of the Danube cruise that explores the river’s culinary highlights.

Other additions on existing chartered ships include A Taste of the Rhine on-board the MPS Da Vinci, Strasbourg & Rhine Highlights on-board the MV Virginia and Splendours of the Danube on-board the MV Esmeralda

There are also new sailings on partner cruises, with a choice of rivers such as Douro, Po, Guadiana, Guadalquivir and Dordogne Rivers or the Adriatic Coast.

Shearings river cruises are available with flexible travel options by air, rail and coach, and groups can benefit from a dedicated Shearings cruise manager to help with booking.
