Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have announced they are opening a base up at Bristol Airport next summer with flights and holidays to 33 destinations.

The airline said a fleet of three aircraft would operate up to 56 flights a week initially from Bristol to destinations including mainland Spain, the Canary Islands, Greece, Italy, Portugal and Madeira. 

There are 450,000 seats now on sale for next summer with the first flights departing from Bristol on 1st July, 2021. Four of the summer flights will be exclusive for Jet2 at Bristol - Costa de Almeria in Spain, Izmir in Turkey, plus Kalamata and Lesvos in Greece. 

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will also offer 11 destinations during the 2021-22 winter programme including weekly departure dates to ski hotspots Geneva, Grenoble and Salzbury. There are also a number of ‘winter sun’ holidays on offer including to the Canary Islands, Portugal and Turkey.

“We know how much demand there is, because we have been listening to customers and independent travel agents in the region for some time. We are delighted to be bringing them the news that they have been looking forward to, meaning that they can finally enjoy real package holidays from Bristol Airport.”

It is Jet2’s 10th UK base and will create more than 200 jobs when it opens next year.
