Snowdrop Days at Chelsea Physic Garden

A series of Snowdrop Days will take place between 28th January and 3rd February 2017 at Chelsea Physic Garden.

The event will showcase the early bloom of the snowdrops that occurs due to the warm microclimate at the gardens.

Visitors will be able to view the snowdrops and elevated displays will allow them up-close angles.

There will also be an unexpected injection of colour added to the typically white flowers.

Groups will also be able to take part in the Snowdrop Trail which will lead visitors around the garden’s collections, which contain more than 120 cultivars and species, and will highlight the provenance, breeding and patternation.

Themed walks and talks will be available as well, such as the Sensational Snowdrops Talk, Best in Snow Tour, and the Galanthus Galore Talk.

Workshops will also be on offer, including Snowdrop Photography and Painting Snowdrops.

Visitors to Chelsea Physic Garden will also be able to purchase some rare snowdrops and spring bulbs that will be on sale in the plant marquee, with staff available to give advice on caring for the plants.

The Tangerine Dream Café will be serving warm lunches and snacks for groups to enjoy after viewing the snowdrops.
