Shane Richie and Jessie Wallace to star in Robin Hood panto

This Christmas, Shane Richie and Jessie Wallace will star in the family pantomime Robin Hood at the Mayflower Theatre in Southampton.

The two actors are already well known for playing Alfie and Kat in popular soap EastEnders, but Robin Hood will be their first pantomime appearance together.

Shane’s previous television credits include Oliver Twist, Skins and What We Did on Our Holidays, whereas Jessie has had roles in The Bill, Wild at Heart and Miss Marie Lloyd – Queen of the Music Hall.

Shane will play the title role of Robin and Jessie will play his Maid Marion.

The two are currently completing their UK tour of Peter James’ The Perfect Murder.

Robin Hood tells the myth of the famous archer and swordsman who robbed from the rich and gave to the poor. The show will be staged by the one of the world’s largest pantomime producers, Qdos Entertainment.

Robin Hood has become a popular choice for Christmas pantomimes.

Robin Hood will run between 17th December 2016 and 8th January 2017 and tickets are on sale now.
