Mary Poppins to fly onto the stage 20 years after world premiere

Direct from the West End, the Mary Poppins musical will tour theatres across the UK and Ireland between November 2024 and May 2025.

Australian stars Stefanie Jones and Jack Chambers reprise their roles as Mary Poppins and Bert.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the world premiere of the show in Bristol; it went on to run in the West End and then Broadway.
Fittingly, the tour will begin at the same theatre - the Bristol Hippodrome on 4th November, before playing:
Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, Dublin (11th December 2024 - 11th January 2025)
Festival Theatre in Edinburgh (22nd January - 15th February)
Theatre Royal Plymouth (26th February - 29th March)
Palace Theatre Manchester (9th April - 17th May).
Further venues and dates are expected to be announced for the Cameron Mackintosh and Disney Theatrical Group production.

Based on the stories of P.L. Travers and the Walt Disney film, the story of the world’s favourite nanny arriving on Cherry Tree Lane is said to be more magical than ever before featuring dazzling choreography, incredible effects and those unforgettable songs.

The new tour of Mary Poppins will open in Bristol on 4th November, 2024.
Producer and co-creator Cameron Mackintosh said: “It is amazingly already 20 years since Mary Poppins first landed onto the stage at the Bristol Hippodrome and started spreading Pamela Travers’ magical stories around the great cities of the world.
“Mary has soared triumphantly around the globe and our recent Australian production discovered two of the most delightful Mary and Berts ever - Stefanie Jones and Jack Chambers - whom I’m thrilled to be bringing to the UK and Ireland to star in this spectacular new national tour.

It is 20 years since Mary Poppins first landed on the stage at the Bristol Hippodrome.
Groups can expect original music and lyrics including Jolly Holiday, Step in Time and Feed the Birds along with new songs and additional music and lyrics for the tour.
