ms Serenity in Budapest

The River Cruise line is offering new and active GTOs the opportunity to take a familiarisation trip to the Danube this June.

Taste of the Danube is a five day trip taking place from 26th June. The fam trip will take in parts of Bratislava, Vienna and Melk.

The River Cruise Line is inviting new and active group travel organisers who are looking to take their group on a river cruise in 2017/2018.

What’s on the itinerary?

Day one: UK to Budapest

The group will fly from London Heathrow to Budapest in Hungary where the ms Serenity awaits. Passengers can then relax on board as the cruise begins along the Danube.

Day two: Bratislava

Wake up in Bratislava, the historic capital of Slovakia that is dominated by its castle. GTOs can join an optional guided tour to take in the main sights and experience the rich culture in and around the old town before the ship cruises towards Vienna.

Day three: Vienna

Enjoy a full day experiencing the delights of Vienna. Grand palaces, baroque castles, squares and monuments are just some of the key features of this city, which is a World Heritage Site. In the morning you can join an optional city tour, and in the afternoon there is an optional excursion to Schönbrunn Palace. Plus, there’s a chance to see the city lit up at night.

Day four: Melk

Arrive in the Austrian city of Melk to see highlights like Schallaburg Castle. The city is also overlooked by a Benedictine abbey, which GTOs can visit on an optional excursion before cruising upriver to Passau.

Day five: Passau to UK

Bid farewell to captain and crew and disembark the ship for the return flight to the UK.

This fam trip includes return flights from the UK; coach transfers to and from the ship; welcome drinks, and a captains get-together and party night.

GTOs can expect four nights’ en suite cabin accommodation aboard the ms Serenity, a full board stay, and entertainment on every night of the cruise.
