Leading escorted tour operator Riviera Travel has unveiled six new tour itineraries.
The company has also amended 33 existing schedules to offer more flexibility and choice due to increasing demand for a personalised holiday experience.
Customers can now pre-book options such as fast track security and destination specific free-time activities such as brown bear watching and horse and carriage rides.
In addition Riviera has changed the board basis on trips to Sicily, Lake Como and Madeira to offer optional pre-booked dinner packages. Tours were previously breakfast only or half board.
The new tours for 2019 visit Montenegro, Sardinia, Ireland, Italy, Jordan and Spain & France.
• Montenegro combines history with magnificent mountain scenery and stunning coastlines to rival neighbouring Croatia. Prices include return flights from London and Manchester airports.
• A new eight-day Basque Country, La Rioja and Burgos offering includes guided tours of San Sebastian featuring traditional tapas tastings, medieval Bayonne and the foothills of the Pyrenees.
• The Belfast, Galway & the Ring of Kerry Ireland itinerary offers an immersive journey into the history and culture of both Ireland and Northern Ireland, exploring the beautiful cities, countryside and coastline.
• With many Britons inspired by popular TV shows showcasing Italy’s lesser known regions, Riviera will introduce a scenic Heart of Italy Umbria, Perugia & Assisi tour sampling some of the regions’ finest traditional food in a local ‘agriturismo’.
• The Sardinia tour includes a ferry trip to Bonifacio in Corsica, a tour of the island of Bosa and a visit to the ancient cities of Tharros and Nuraghe.
• The new Jordan & Petra escorted tour includes a stay in a Bedouin-style tented camp in the desert, two days relaxing on the shores of the remarkable Dead Sea and an expert led tour to Petra, one of the ‘new Seven Wonders of the World’.
