Christmas at Dunham Massey

Christmas at Dunham Massey will return to the historic National Trust property in Cheshire from 30th November until 30th December, featuring more illuminations and festive displays.

Visitors will be greeted by a giant glittering deer, along with the sights and sounds of Christmas, on a light trail around the property grounds.

What to expect from Christmas at Dunham Massey

Guests will be invited to walk through a Tunnel of Light festooned by a canopy of 100,000 pea-lights whilst the Singing Trees, which featured last year, can be heard in the distance.

The Water Fountain Finale, which takes place on the Lake, is a showcase of water jets and beams of light which dance in time to much-loved Christmas classics.

There will be hidden surprises too; watch out for Bubbles on the Bridge, ribbons of colour, changing lights and a scented Fire Garden.

The historic courtyard will once again house festive food outlets, with Manchester Food & Drink Festival providing the stalls this year, as well as a vintage carousel.

This year, The Stables restaurant will be serving a two-course traditional Christmas Dinner. There will a choice of two sittings, so visitors can dine before or after they visit the trail.

The trail is designed to appeal for visitors of all ages to enjoy.

What else is there for groups?

Groups visiting can enjoy the new exhibition Dunham Massey: A Woman's Place? celebrating the women of Dunham Massy. You can also take a walk through the gardens at any time of the year and stroll around the deep park too.

Groups are entitled to free coach parking, and reduced rates for those with 15 or more members.
