Fountains Abbey

Just Go! Holidays has unveiled a collection of new escorted heritage breaks, created in association with the National Trust.

Historic houses and famous gardens, as well as areas of outstanding natural beauty in England, Wales and Northern Ireland are offered on the new tours, which currently have various dates scheduled for this year.

All National Trust itineraries are planned to deliver an insight into the places visited, often including private tours and exclusive access. Guests will be escorted by a knowledgeable tour manager.

You don’t need to be National Trust member to join the tours, but members can enjoy a discount on the cost of their trip.

The new tours include:

Cotswolds Gardens & Villages: Explores the pastoral landscape of rolling hills and quintessentially English towns, with visits to three gardens, including the National Trust’s Hidcote and Snowshill Manor Garden.

Romantic Landscapes & Dramatic Buildings of Yorkshire: This tour takes in seven destinations including the National Trust’s monastic ruins of Fountains Abbey and its Treasurer’s House in the city of York, as well as a trip to Castle Howard.

Regal & Stately Treasures of the Isle of Wight: This packs in visits to the National Trust’s Mottistone Gardens and Bembridge Windmill, as well as eight other venues, including Queen Victoria’s beloved holiday retreat, Osborne House and Appuldurcombe House.

Manors, Gardens & Standing Stones in the South West: Uncover the history of the West Country through visits to some of the region’s finest properties and gardens, including the National Trust’s Lacock Abbey and The Courts Garden, as well as a guided tour of Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s masterpiece, SS Great Britain.
