Winchester Cathedral Christmas Market

The market will open in the cathedral grounds on 17th November, running until 20th December this year, with the ice rink set to stay until 2nd January.

This year, it will include 100 chalets, selling gifts and decorations and festive foods, as well as a Food Court and British Crafts Village.

The Ice Rink will be located in the shadow of Winchester Cathedral, the clear roof guaranteeing a rain-free festive skate.

In the British Crafts Village, you’ll find a nativity scene providing the opportunity for guests to take photos and share the Christmas story. Also, in the village you’ll find all kinds of craft sellers from jewellery designers to glass makers.

Groups can also enjoy a Christmas or Twilight Tour running the same days as the market which will allow guests to gaze down on the Christmas Market and Ice Rink from the top of the cathedral tower.

Visitors are encouraged to visit the cathedral itself during their time at the market, and a special tour is available, taking in the cathedral’s highlights in half an hour. Group admission rates apply.
