The Phantom of the Opera will see a lead cast change this Autumn, as Ben Lewis steps up for the title role, alongside other new names.
The show, heading into its 32nd year will star Ben Lewis as The Phantom from 4th September at Her Majesty’s Theatre.
Group rates are available for parties with ten or more people.
Casting
Ben Lewis played The Phantom in the Australian production of the show’s sequel, Love Never Dies. His theatre credits include Annie Get Your Gun, Love Me Tender, Candide and Forbidden Broadway.
Joining Ben Lewis in The Phantom of the Opera, is Kelly Mathieson in her West End debut as Christine Daae, Jeremy Taylor whose previous credits include Wicked and We Will Rock You, as Raoul and Amy Manford as the alternate Christine Daaé.
New cast members this September also include Matt Bateman, Jade Davies, Hannah Grace, Andrei Teodor Iliescu, Jordan Simon Pollard, Una Reynolds, Emily Smith, Rachel Spurrell and John Stacey.
The new cast will play in the show alongside the current cast members, including: Lara Martins, Siôn Lloyd, Mark Oxtoby, Jacinta Mulcahy, Paul Ettore Tabone, Georgia Ware, and Scott Davies.
Synopsis: The Phantom of the Opera
The show is set beneath the Paris Opera House where The Phantom lives and is feared by all due to his physical appearance. However he is in love with the beautiful Christine who shows kindness towards him and she finds herself drawn towards him.
The score is by Andrew Lloyd-Webber and the production includes many special effects to bring the tragic love story to life in the West End.
The show became the longest running show in Broadway history in 2006 and has won over 70 major theatre awards across the world.
